Getting ready for the SEMA show . . . .

The Willy's Station Wagon - available in the early '50s for around $2,000 for the 2 wheel drive version.  I remember riding in a couple of these that my parents owed.

The ad below would have been typical for ads in magazines.

Engines were either a 4 cyl or straight 6 cyl.  Both engines were either flat head or overhead valves depending on which year model.

Memories

As we get closer to this years SEMA show in Las Vegas I got a bit of nostalgia about our 5-1600 race car and my first single seat buggie.
This car had an 1835 cc VW engine and an early type 2 transmission with alpine gears in the reduction boxes.

Galpin Ford Museum

In the Beginning . . . . . .

After years on the old godaddy quick blogcast system, we are now beginning anew here on Blogger.  Help me out with comments any time and any subject.  Photos will be a big part of this site.  SEMA is coming up in November and I look forward to presenting as many products as possible that will be of interest to me.
